Karl Ward Goes on Medical Mission

Karl Ward (our C.E.O.) recently had a chance to go on a medical mission with his wife (Dr. Kathy Ward) and their kids, here are a couple of pictures with the people they helped. What a super cool way to spend your time off! Thanks Karl for all you and Kathy do!

Paul Bunyan to Get a New Companion

Nickerson & O’Day is proud to be named the Construction Manager to construct the first major addition to the 1959 Paul Bunyan statue at the Cross Insurance Center on Main Street in Bangor.  After 56 years standing alone, Paul will hopefully, in 2016, be joined with his long-time companion, Babe the Blue Ox.  Stay tuned for more news as plans are finalized later this fall!

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Bangor’s Volunteer Appreciation Event

We are super excited to be sponsoring Habitat for Humanity of Greater Bangor’s Volunteer Appreciation Event on June 30 where they will be honoring our very own Lin Lufkin as well as Angel Caron. Please join us!

https://www.facebook.com/events/1003779666313401/

If you don’t have Facebook here are the details of the event:

You and your family are invited to help us celebrate all of our volunteers at Habitat for Humanity of Greater Bangor’s first Volunteer Awards and Recognition Celebration event on Tuesday, June 30, from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. in the Penobscot Room at the Sea Dog in Bangor.

It is with a great deal of excitement that we announce our special honorees, two volunteers who have been selected to receive our inaugural volunteer awards:

Lin Lufkin: Robinson Speirs Memorial Award, and
Angel Caron: Volunteer of the Year Award

Join us for complimentary hors d’oeuvres, good company, and good weather (we hope!) on the Sea Dog’s Penobscot Room deck. Raise a glass in honor of our award recipients, learn how Habitat volunteers are making a difference in the Greater Bangor area, and meet some of our partner families. No R.S.V.P. required but you can click here to add the Facebook event to your calendar.

We are grateful to Nickerson & O’Day for making this event possible!
